Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf

As part of a lesson on perspective and point of view in writing, this Level 3 Reading student told the story of Little Red Riding Hood, first from the perspective of the girl and then from the perspective of the wolf.

The Little Girl

I was walking and singing in the woods, going to my grandma’s house. My grandma was very sick so I’m taking to her some food and soup. While I was walking I heard a wolf howling between the trees. So I stopped walking and I was really scared. The voice was getting closer and I started to cry. The wolf showed and howled in my face and he was looking at the basket in my hand. I started to run and he was running after me. Suddenly he disappeared and I took my breath and started to walk again until I reached my grandmother’s house. The wolf showed again at the window and because of my bad luck, the window was opened. He jumped into the house and ran to the basket that was near my grandmother’s bed. I yelled for help but when no one answered I took the chair and I hit him on his back so he got scared and ran away. Then I closed the door and we ate our food happily.

The Wolf

I was running in the woods in this amazing weather. While I was running I heard a voice and it was really beautiful. But when I got closer I smelled the delicious food that the girl was holding so I went to her and asked her for food. But then she started to run so I thought she wanted me to play with her and then she’s gonna give me food. I was really hungry but I loved the girl so I’ll be patient and I’ll play with her first. I ran after her for a long time then I got tired so I stopped to take a rest. The girl disappeared so I started to look for her then I saw a small house and I smelled the food from there. I went to the window and I saw the same girl so I jumped into the house and I went to the basket to eat the food with them. Suddenly I felt something hard hit me on my back so I turned to look what happened and I was so disappointed because the little girl hit me and she seemed so angry. I didn’t want to stay in the same place with her so I ran away to the woods again.
